Glow app gets support for male fertility

Glow is going beyond women’s market, having added support for male fertility within its smartphone app. The new product is designed to give men the opportunity to better understand their reproductive health and gain insights into how they can increase their fertility. The application makes it easy to log daily activities and lifestyle information, then crunches the data to give men personalized, scientifically-backed information to help better inform their decisions, both big and small.

According to The National Infertility Association, 1 in 8 couples in the United States are struggling with infertility, but men are often less likely to seek medical help than women.

“Unfortunately fertility struggles aren’t always considered a couple’s issue, even though male infertility accounts for about 40 percent of cases,” said Mike Huang, CEO of Glow. “We’re excited to offer important insights and education to both men and women to help them conceive.”

In addition, Glow has also announced partnerships with two of the largest fertility clinics in the country: Boston IVF and Shady Grove Fertility, which will offer a personalized version of Glow that supports users as they navigate fertility treatments.

Since launching in August 2013, Glow has aided more than 50,000 pregnancies and is 40% more effective in helping women and couples conceive (compared to women who do not track with Glow).
