One Medical adds digital dermatology, vaccine tracker to its app

One Medical Group app

One Medical Group has updated its mobile app to include evaluation and treatments for common dermatological issues to the mix. In addition, the new release also comes with a Vaccine Tracker that enables members to access their vaccine history right from their phone.

“By expanding on our mobile health app to include services such as Digital Dermatology and Vaccine Tracker, patients can have a more seamless, integrated, and quality experience while also saving time and money,” said Tom Lee MD, founder and CEO of One Medical Group.

The new Digital Dermatology feature in One Medical’s mobile app will allow patients to evaluate conditions remotely, without the need for an office visit in many cases. Members simply answer a few questions about their symptoms, take a few photos of their skin issue, and submit the images for clinical review. Within 24 hours, One Medical’s dermatology team will respond to the patient with a recommended course of action.

Since its release to early testers, One Medical’s digital dermatology service has been used to treat a variety of conditions, ranging from contact dermatitis and poison oak, to alopecia and psoriasis.

Digital dermatology services will be free to all One Medical members for a limited period of time.
