Flo smart thermometer

The market for smart thermometers is heating-up. Joining the race is Flo, a Bluetooth-connected non contact thermometer that works with a companion app which adds timeline and photo tagging to the mix to “turn data into meaningful moments.” But it can also work without a connected smartphone, and sync the information it captures at a later point. Plus, let’s not forget its ability to connect to the Apple Watch, something iFans will appreciate greatly.

The device sports a specially designed LED system that takes all the guesswork out of the numbers. This, the Flo creators claim, keeps the product small while still showing the temperature range. The readings are, however, saved in Flo’s internal memory and so they can be later synced with a companion app.

Another thing that makes Flo special is its price. With early bird prices on Kickstarter ranging from $15 to $18, we’re not surprised that those options were sold out quickly. Right now, the device is available for $22, and you can get an extra discount if you purchase more units at once. Estimated delivery is set for May.
