MyFitnessPal and Withings prove that food and weight tracking works

Withings and MyFitnessPal released findings of a year-long study of over 37,000 users that illustrate the effect weight tracking and food logging has on successful weight management. In addition, Withings updated its Smart Body Analyzer and integration of MyFitnessPal into the Withings Health Mate app to help users set, track and achieve weight management goals.

Said study was looking to compare results of user who actively logged food intake and tracked weight with those that did not. Users in the first group lost 7 times more weight than those that did not:

Also, the study has found that users who set clear weight goals lost 4 times more than those that do not — 4.6lbs compared to 1.2lbs.

Withings is updating its Smart Body Analyzer and Withings Health Mate app to help users set, track and achieve weight management goals.As for the Withings Health Mate app, it will get new features on November 10, including:
