Heal launches one-touch house call doctor service for Apple Watch

Heal app

Heal is launching the one-touch house call service for Apple Watch users. The free to download app introduces what the company says is the first-ever, one-touch process to request a fully vetted and licensed doctor to arrive at a person’s home or office in under an hour. Also, unlike traditional doctor visits that last an average of 10-15 minutes, Heal doctors spend as much time as needed with each patient for a fixed fee of $99, anytime between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., 7 days a week.

Heal’s service is currently available across all neighborhoods in Los Angeles and San Francisco. All Heal doctors are fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools necessary for a mobile doctor visit, including the AliveCor ECG, CellScope otoscope, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to send prescriptions electronically, order labs and refer patients to a specialist.

“When you or your child wakes up sick, you need the simplest and most trustworthy way possible to get a doctor fast,” says Dr. Renee Dua, Board Certified Physician and Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Heal. “With a single tap on the wrist, Heal’s new Apple Watch app lets you skip the long wait times and hassle of a traditional doctor’s office with a network of world-class physicians willing to come to you.”

Founded by first-time mom and entrepreneur Dr. Dua, Heal got an early support from angel investors such as Qualcomm Executive Chairman Dr. Paul Jacobs, Former Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Jamie McCourt, and Grammy and Oscar winner Lionel Richie. The company’s advisors include Dr. Bart Wald, Former Regional President of Providence Hospitals; and Manan Shah, Vice President of Commercial Strategy for insurance giant Anthem Blue Cross.

Heal’s service is currently available across all neighborhoods in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
