Texas-based MyTelemedicine.com joins the telehealth market

MyTelemedicine

A North Dallas area start-up is all set to launch its telehealth service, MyTelemedicine.com, on July 1st.

Just like competing services, MyTelemedicine.com will enable remote consultations between patients and health care professionals via phone or video conference, providing both patients and doctors with a more efficient and cost effective option for treatment.

The new service will offer two types of service: direct-to-consumer physician consultations, as well as a white-label service for medical professionals who want to offer telemedicine services to their patients. Under the direct-to-consumer model, members or their employers pay a small monthly subscription fee for 24/7 access to a web-based virtual office, where they can connect with board certified, licensed physicians in the state they’re in. Participating doctors will be able recommend and monitor treatment based on the patient’s symptoms, and — if needed — order tests or prescriptions.

As for the white-labeled telemedicine platform, it will allow doctors to offer remote consultations to patients, enabling them to take part in the rapid growth in the U.S telehealth market, which is expected to generate $1.9 billion in revenue in 2018.

MyTelemedicine is launching with more than 10,000 members who have already been registered through their employer, and expects to reach 100,000 members by early 2016.
