Samsung S Health now available for all Android smartphones

S Health app

Samsung’s health tracking app, S Health, is no longer exclusive to select Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners; now, every smartphone owner can “join the party” provided that he or she has a smartphone running Android 4.4 KitKat and above.

S Health is designed as a one-stop-shop for all health information, and is able to keep up with “every move you make.” With the app, users can track any number of health data points such as activity, calories, UV exposure, oxygen saturation, sleep, and more. It [app] gets information from the smartphone’s built-in sensors as well as from other connected devices such as wearables, smart scales, blood pressure cuffs, and so on.

Beyond data tracking, the application can also act as one’s personal fitness coach, allowing users to set and reach their goals, while providing them with helpful tips along the way.

S Health natively supports over 70 languages, including English, French, and Chinese.

In its effort to keep up with users’ health, Samsung is competing with other giants, namely Apple, Google and Microsoft, all of which have similar apps for their respective platforms.
