Talkiatry raises $210 million to expand AI-powered mental health platform

Talkiatry just closed a massive $210 million Series D funding round. The mental health company now employs over 800 full-time psychiatrists and has delivered 3 million patient visits to date.

Perceptive Advisors led the oversubscribed round, with participation from Sofina and existing investors including Andreessen Horowitz, blisce/, and Left Lane Capital. The company also secured a debt facility from Banc of California. Total funding now exceeds $400 million.

The numbers tell a compelling story. Talkiatry works with more than 100 insurers covering over 170 million lives. Since launching its Mindshare Partner Program in late 2023, the company has partnered with over a third of America’s top 20 health systems.

How does it work?

Talkiatry built its operations around a proprietary AI-powered technology platform. The system automates back-office functions, keeps patients engaged between visits, and helps health systems get patients into care faster.

The platform enables innovative payment models with insurance companies. As patient numbers grow, the technology helps maintain quality and consistency across all locations.

The company directly employs its psychiatrists rather than using contractors. This model gives Talkiatry more control over care quality and creates better working conditions for clinicians.

Why does it matter?

The results speak for themselves. 87 percent of anxiety patients and 86 percent of depression patients see symptom improvement after just two visits. Even more impressive: 67 percent of anxiety patients and 62 percent of depression patients report their symptoms are no longer clinically significant.

Talkiatry’s early dropout rate is up to 60 percent lower than industry standards. This means better continuity of care and fewer patients ending up in expensive emergency settings.

Clinician satisfaction runs high too. 90 percent of psychiatrists would recommend Talkiatry as a workplace. Staff report 80 percent less burnout than the industry average. Patient satisfaction reflects this quality – the company scores a 76 Net Promoter Score.

The context

Mental health care in America faces a massive access problem. Patients often wait weeks or months for appointments. Many psychiatrists don’t accept insurance, making care unaffordable for most people.

“Talkiatry is setting the standard for how psychiatry is delivered and measured,” said CEO and cofounder Robert Krayn. “Health systems, payers, and employers continue to choose Talkiatry as their psychiatry partner of record to deliver consistent, superior outcomes.”

The company treats anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, postpartum depression, OCD, and PTSD. Deloitte ranked Talkiatry among the fastest-growing companies in North America on its Technology Fast 500 list in 2025.

“The company’s consistent results across outcomes, engagement, and patient experience position it as defining the next era of psychiatric care in the United States,” said Michael Altman, Head of Strategy at Perceptive Advisors.
