Moov isn’t “yet another wrist-band” – it’s much more than that. Designed by a former Apple engineer, it is a modular device that can be worn strapped to your body, or simply attached to something else like a bag, bike, or even a golf club. It’s also waterproof up to one meter (IP67), allowing you to track swimming.
Relying on 9-axis sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer), the Moov is able to track user’s motion with extreme accuracy, and even evaluate one’s form. According to these guys, Moov won’t just quantify your workout – it will also qualify it.
The Moov will start selling during the summer for $120, and in the meantime, it’s available for half the price. Initially, it will only support iOS, with Android app coming later in the year…
