Samsung smart bike concept

Samsung is showing off a smart bike concept, which as one would imagine, is connected to the smartphone to provide users with relevant information about their ride, safety tips and more.

Paired with a Samsung smartphone, the bike’s technology would allow users to get all kinds of information about their ride and how it affects their overall wellbeing.Designed by Samsung Maestros Academy student Alice Biotti and hand-built by Italian frame builder Giovanni Pelizzoli, this next-generation cycle comes with a ton of built-in technology that should deliver a new kind of bike ride.

The bike has curvy aluminum tubes that “neutralize the most dangerous vibration to the body” on uneven roads, as well as battery, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth + Arduino module, 4 laser-projectors and a digital-camera that aid in rider’s protection. Paired with a Samsung smartphone, the bike’s technology would allow users to get all kinds of information about their ride and how it affects their overall wellbeing.

Sounds like something from the future and that’s exactly what it is. At the moment, this smart bike is in the prototype phase and as far as we (don’t) know, it may never be released to the general public. The underlying technology and the design process would make for an expensive bike a few would want to buy. Though you never know; perhaps this is where the Korean giant is looking for growth in the coming years. Check out the video demoing this monster bike below.
