Self Care Catalysts has raised $2 million in seed funding for its patient intelligence and self care platform.
The money was provided by Prosoft Development, which is a privately owned company that invests in IT, software development, consulting, and solutions for the health care and pharmaceutical industries.
The funding will go towards further development of the “Health Storylines” platform that is used by pharmaceutical companies, health plans, and providers to engage and learn from patients dealing with disease.
Aside from its patient-specific offering, Self Care Catalysts also has an enterprise offering called “Patient Storylines,” which allows patients to tell their own stories, tap into daily guidance, and connect to their circle of support.
To date, the company has raised a total of $2.7 million. It has offices in Toronto, Canada and San Francisco, California.
