Doximity makes it easy for hospitals to accept job applications

Apply Using Doximity

Doximity, which counts over 50% of all US doctors as members, unveiled a new method for physicians to apply for career opportunities – “Apply Using Doximity.” With a single click, all US physicians can quickly submit their verified online profile as a curriculum vitae (CV) for an open job opportunity, and a recruiter will reach out to the physician directly.

By making the application process more efficient and reducing the friction of paperwork, doctors can more easily apply for new employment, locum tenens or consulting opportunities, even from their tablet or smartphone.

The feature allows doctors to more easily apply for new employment, locum tenens or consulting opportunities, even from their tablet or smartphone.Medical institutions taking advantage of “Apply Using Doximity” will be able to easily accept applications without having to sort through lengthy CVs, with confidence that applicants are verified, licensed U.S. physicians.

Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, in collaboration with ab+c Creative Intelligence, is the first institution to incorporate this service, and the hope is that more hospitals will join in the near future.

“By allowing physicians to inquire about a job with the quick click of a button, we’ve made it easier for hospitals and health systems to attract qualified physician candidates,” said Alex Blau, MD, Medical Director at Doximity. “Physicians really don’t have time to scan their CV or fill out long web forms, particularly if they are researching jobs on a mobile device, so applications often fall by the wayside. We’re rectifying that.”
