Attune Technologies raises $10M Series B to expand beyond India

India-based Attune Technologies, which makes cloud-based software for hospitals and labs, has scored a $10 million Series B round from Qualcomm Ventures and returning investor Norwest Venture Partners. To date, the company has raised $17 million.

At present, Attune’s software handles 10 million patient records for 2,500 healthcare centers in IndiaAttune’s solutions are created to give smaller organizations without IT departments an affordable alternative to traditional hospital management software, which can be costly to deploy and maintain. The company’s offering works in a SaaS fashion, and is offered for a fixed monthly fee for the service usage.

At present, Attune’s software handles 10 million patient records for 2,500 healthcare centers in India. With the fresh capital, the company hopes to expand to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

Attune competes with Ubq Software and Insta Health, the latter of which was acquired by Practo last month. The company’s Founder Arvind Kumar says that their solution is more accessible, and can be more easily adopted to mobile users, enabling its clients to launch apps for patients.
