Health Gorilla secured a $2.4M Series A funding round, led by Data Collective, and with participation from True Ventures, Harris Barton, Orfin Ventures and Venture Investment Associates. The company has raised a total of $4.4 million to date.

Health Gorilla also announced the launch of the Health Gorilla Clinical Network, touting it as a game-changing platform for clinical data and communications that is poised to change the way doctors, vendors, and patients interact about and manage healthcare in the US.

The Health Gorilla Clinical Network is touted as a game-changing platform that is poised to change the way doctors, vendors, and patients interact about and manage healthcare in the US.More precisely, the Network hopes to solve three major problems currently plaguing healthcare, including electronic ordering (to streamline workflow); shared (secure) communications; and provide the complete health history for patients.

“The healthcare industry is broken, and many of the pain points can be tracked back to data and communications issues, both simple and complex,” explains Steve Yaskin, CEO of Health Gorilla. “This Clinical Network will be the key driver of a revolution in the healthcare system by finally, effectively connecting the entire continuum of care within a single, secure platform.”

Health Gorilla is fully HIPAA compliant and certified for Meaningful Use 2. The Health Gorilla Clinical Network is available via any iOS device through the Health Gorilla app, which allows both medical professionals and consumers to securely access its full features while on-the-go.
