Seattle-based Mazlo has raised $10 million for its service that combines the expert guidance and human connection of in-person coaching with the convenience of digital content. The company also announced that it has launched a suite of “learn by doing” personal development programs.

Mazlo’s programs help clients develop a range of skills such as mindfulness meditation, conversational agility, positive body language, mindful eating, strength and range of motion, constructive criticism, confident speaking, and time management.

Mazlo’s clients practice 10 minutes a day over two weeks to develop new habits through daily, real-life practice and a continuous feedback loop with a dedicated coach. The company’s funding was led by its founders, including Polaris Partners. The capital will go towards the technology platform development, as well as for creation of additional programs, and to fuel the launch to self-improvement-minded consumers and progressive employers.

“Mazlo leverages the effectiveness of daily repetition and human accountability while embracing the realities of hectic schedules and undulating motivation levels. It’s self-help transformed into a service,” said Tim Kilgallon, the company’s co-founder and CEO.

Mazlo’s clients practice 10 minutes a day over two weeks to develop new habits through daily, real-life practice and a continuous feedback loop with a dedicated coach. Clients are paired with coaches who have deep subject-matter expertise, along with accountability and counseling skills. This multi-faceted approach, Mazlo claims, generates engagement rates that greatly exceed those of typical learning programs.

Mazlo is available both directly to consumers and employers who offer their teams a choice of coaching programs for professional development. The suite of programs include the following topics: Confident Speaking, Positive Body Language, Business Etiquette, Constructive Criticism, and Business Writing.
