drchrono, ZocDoc team-up to sync medical records with online appointment booking

ZocDoc - drchrono

Maker of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform drchrono is teaming-up with doctor-booking service ZocDoc to allow medical professionals using both platforms to easily sync their calendars and EHRs.

The partnership is described as a model of digital health openness between two complementary companies and is a “great benefit to many players in the healthcare ecosystem.”

“The drchrono-ZocDoc partnership will ultimately help streamline critical parts of the healthcare experience for physicians and medical professionals,” drchrono co-founder Daniel Kivatinos said in a statement.

Physicians on the drchrono platform use their Apple-made devices — including the iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch — as well as the web to serve more than 5.9 million patients. ZocDoc, on the other hand, covers 60 percent of the U.S. population, helping millions of patients find in-network neighborhood doctors, instantly book appointments online, see what other real patients have to say, get reminders for upcoming appointments and preventive check-ups, fill out their paperwork online, and more.
