New York based digital health accelerator Blueprint Health unveiled its ninth cohort of startups that includes a mix of interests such as home care coordination, addiction recovery follow-up, behavioral health and medication management.
The companies accepted to the program include:
- Blue Mesa Health – developer of a digital diabetes prevention platform called Transform that helps people deemed at risk for developing the disease.
- HealthKick – provides small and medium-sized businesses with the ability to offer health and wellness services for employees; it charges $5 per participating employee per month.
- NexHealth – wants to cut doctor appointment no-shows through its mobile appointment booking and reminder platform for doctor’s offices and hospitals; it charges practices a monthly subscription fee of $200.
- PatientPrep – seeks to increase physician productivity by using a questionnaire to gather relevant clinical information from patients prior to their appointment.
- Rappora – streamlines the coordination, management and time tracking of home care employees through an app; their solution allows home care agency owners and operators to track the work hours of home care workers down to the minute.
- SimplifiMed – provides medication management support for ACOs; the solution prompts patients on a regular basis to summarize their active medications through a smartphone camera photo and the SimplifiMed team then uses the data to build accurate and up-to-date medication lists for each ACO patient.
- Sparkite – developer of a solution for high-end treatment facilities that improves follow-up care to support addiction recovery; their app provides a customized treatment plan and peer support network.
- ThriveStreams – helps health homes predict when a patient has a manic or depressive episode, and alert care managers if an intervention is necessary.
- TweeQ – uses an app to provide personal home exercise plans for patients with animated exercises so they can follow instructions easier and a physical therapist can follow their progress from their office; it provides rehabilitation clinic patients access to its online program for $50 each.
- Wellsbi – a digital advisory platform distributed through employers with staff of 200 or less; it helps help individuals get educated and organized around all things related to their health insurance benefits to become more informed healthcare consumers.
Blueprint Health has also revealed that 85 percent of its 77 portfolio companies are now generating revenue.
