Vida Health, which is a digital therapeutics platform that helps employees and members overcome chronic physical and behavioral health problems, is teaming-up with Vitality Group, a health tech company committed to making people healthier worldwide. Under the deal, Vida’s digital therapeutics, coupled with human coaching and therapy, will be offered through the Gateway program to Vitality users effective immediately.

The Vitality Gateway program integrates strategic partners across the broader health ecosystem to connect employees to resources that improve their health. Vida will provide employees using Gateway with personalized digital therapeutic programs, bundled with relevant health monitoring devices and one-on-one health coaching and therapy. Individuals using Vida can tackle a number of conditions and health goals, including weight loss, nutrition, pre-diabetes, diabetes, depression, anxiety, stress management, hypertension, and obesity.

“Vitality and Vida are well-matched as partners since we both leverage the latest research and approaches in behavioral health and science to improve employee health, engagement and wellness,” Vida Health CEO Stephanie Tilenius said in a statement. “Through Vida, Vitality users will be able to access evidence-based digital therapeutics programs for managing chronic disease.”

The highest health insurance claim costs typically come from employees with comorbidities. Vida’s digital therapeutics platform is able to drive down health care costs by helping individuals prevent, improve, and overcome multiple physical and behavioral health conditions simultaneously.

Vida’s enterprise customers include eBay, Steelcase, FICO, West Marine, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Duke University School of Medicine, Stanford Medicine, Aurora Health Care, and Partners Healthcare.
