Fitness platform announced Aaptiv Coach, describing it as a most significant product launch since the company’s inception.
Powered by its proprietary recommendation algorithm and engagement data, the new service will provide Aaptiv members with a personalized coaching plan that incorporates fitness, mindfulness, and healthy habits, as part of a “holistic approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.” Users will be able to choose to focus on stress reduction, better sleep, and healthier eating to complement their existing fitness goals.
For start, users fill out an in-depth questionnaire and then Aaptiv Coach combines answers with the workout history to create a plan curated for every individual user.
Each plan will offer a one-stop destination for structure, motivation, and personalization. Through a companion app, users will be able to view their daily and weekly personal lineup to get an overview of what they’ll be doing and when. Also provided are fun, daily streaks for maintaining consistency.
In order to keep up with their plan, users will push play on Aaptiv classes chosen just for them, or log their own non-Aaptiv workout.
“From day one we’ve been passionate about helping members live a healthier life, and we always knew content was just one piece of what we would be able to offer,” Aaptiv Founder and CEO Ethan Agarwal said in a statement. “We’re excited to combine cutting-edge technology that we’ve been building for years with the world-class workouts we’re known for to bring personalized guidance to everyone. Our ultimate goal is to help everyone achieve their health goals and the best way to do that is with Aaptiv Coach.”
The announcement adds that another feature, Team Aaptiv, is added but it’s just a pilot at this stage. The technology will continue to improve over time, so Aaptiv will be able to provide its users with increasingly personalized suggestions to further customize their Aaptiv Coach experience.
Aaptiv Coach will be included in Aaptiv members’ current membership. The product will be available on both the Android and iOS versions of the Aaptiv app, initially for a small number of users with all members getting it in the coming months.
