Fitbit expands sync compatibility to 18 additional Android devices

Fitbit's Android app updated to sync with Moto G, Sony Xperia Zx devices

Fitbit is now compatible with more smartphones, 18 more to be more precise. Beyond Apple’s iPhones and the select group of Android devices, Fitbit’s smart bands that track one’s fitness and sleeping patterns now support the following phones:

  • Samsung: Galaxy S3, Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
  • LG: G2, Optimus G, G Pro 2, Vu 3.
  • HTC: One (M7), All New One (M8).
  • Motorola: Moto X, Moto G, RAZR M, DROID MINI, DROID ULTRA, DROID MAXX, DROID RAZR HD, DROID RAZR HD MAXX.
  • Google: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013)
  • Sony: Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX, Xperia V, Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1s, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Tablet Z.

With this latest batch the number of supported devices is now 44… and counting.

In related news, Fitbit has also announced that its Android app has surpassed the 1 million downloads mark.
