Acer is joining the smart band market with a device called Liquid Leap. Similarly to other such products, this smart band will allow users to track their steps, running distance, calories burnt and sleeping cycle.

It will connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0 to provide incoming call and SMS notifications on its 1-inch touchscreen. This petite display will also show current time and weather information, while allowing music control playback from one’s wrist.

The Acer Liquid Leap is a waterproof device with IPX7 rating, meaning it could be used while swimming. The company will offer the wrist band in few color options such as Moonstone White, Mineral Black, Aquamarine, Fragrant Pink and Vivid Orange. Acer promises about 5-7 days of battery life.
