For one thing, the homepage now features a greater breadth of information including highlights from the company’s blog and notices of future events and activity. The site will rotate top startups within the network, with these selected companies getting the prime spot to share their story with the world. The initial roster (of promoted companies) includes:

  • Niveus Medical – developed of a series of novel technologies designed to prevent debilitation and thereby accelerate patient recovery, shorten hospital stays, and reduce hospital costs.
  • Sensulin – a biotech company working on a glucose-responsive insulin for type I & type II diabetes, that could eliminate the need for multiple injections per day.
  • QxMD – which has developed a personalized medical journal for iPad, iPhone and web called Read, helping physicians and scientists keep up with new research, read outstanding topic reviews and search PubMed.
