China’s Viatom Technology gets CE mark for its Checkme medical tricoder

Checkme medical tricoder

Shenzhen, China-based Viatom Technology received the CE Mark and has released internationally its Checkme medical tricoder. The device provides one lead ECG, blood oxygenation (SpO2), body temperature, and also works as a pedometer. What’s more, the company claims Checkme can also measure blood pressure without using a cuff, which is something many have tried but to no avail.

A daily check of all the measurements takes about 20 seconds. The device is controlled via the built-in touchscreen that displays all the charts and numbers. Users are also able to record a voice memo to save along with the readings as a reminder of what was happening around the time of the test. Bluetooth connectivity comes included so that the readings can be sent to one’s doctor or family member using the accompanying iOS or Android app.

Overall, Checkme looks like a promising device and since it’s coming from a little-known company, we expect it to be more affordable than similar products made by well-known multinationals. That being said, we still don’t know Checkme’s price…
