Under Armour Record health and fitness network unveiled

UA Record

Under Armour unveiled a new health and fitness network built on the MapMyFitness foundation – the UA Record.

Dedicated to healthier life and better understanding of one’s body, the service gathers and combines personal health data with activity tracking tools, connects it to digital community, and keeps everything in sync with user’s fitness goals.

UA Record provides everyone with the ability to proactively manage their health and fitness through an open platform.UA Record provides everyone with the ability to proactively manage their health and fitness through an open platform that’s personalized, easy to use and connected to their everyday lives. Features include GPS activity tracking from mobile sensors and third party devices, analysis from individual workouts and a total snapshot of the user’s progress – including steps, sleep, caloric burn, heart rate, BMI and weight. And, because it’s built on MapMyFitness foundation, some of the UA Record features will be recognized in the current MapMyFitness apps.

Another cool feature, Personal Challenges, is made to keep users on track, allowing them to invite up to 19 friends within their network to compete in customized health and fitness challenges centered on specific goals. These challenges could be based on workout count, total distance, total steps and calories burned; and can be organized on daily, weekly and monthly basis, providing real-time updates, leaderboard progress, and an open conversation forum for group participants.

Additionally, there’s also the original content on nutrition, training methodologies, injury prevention and more, from leading health and fitness experts who happen to be Under Armour athletes.

Finally, users are free to share any content from within the app, such as videos, photos and workout stories.

The UA Record app is available now as a free download for iOS and Android users.
