Basis Peak updated with notifications, ability to export data

Basis Peak

The Basis Peak just got better thanks to the latest smartwatch update.

First, there are notifications that will alert the wearer (with vibrations) of the incoming call, text, calendar entry and so on. Peak will keep notifications visible for five minutes, allowing users to browse before dismissing them. There’s also the ability to switch the watch to “Do Not Disturb” mode.

Second, the new software enables users to export all of the data Peak has gathered and use it in their own charts and graphs. Available options include minute-by-minute sensor data including heart rate, calories burned, steps, perspiration and skin temperature. Data is available for the last 7 days, 30 days, for the entire time since your last download or since you started an account.

Announced in October of 2013, the Basis Peak smartwatch is designed to be the ultimate fitness and sleep tracker with up to 4 day battery life and water resistance up to 5 ATM. It integrates few sensors, including Optical Heart Rate Sensor, Galvanic Skin Response, Skin Temperature and 3-Axis Accelerometer, and is selling now for $199.99.
