Lenovo’s latest smart band packs an e-ink display

Lenovo VIBE Band VB10

Lenovo used the CES to unveil its latest wearable device, the Vibe Band VB10. What makes this model different from competing products is its e-ink display that can display information on a wearer’s wrist while not draining the built-in battery. The Chinese firm promises a full week of operation on a single charge without the need to turn off the screen at any moment.

Similarly to other smart bands, the Vibe Band VB 10 can also track user’s whereabouts, while feeding the data to an accompanying mobile app (and then to servers). Users will also benefit from notifications from Twitter, Facebook, WeChat and other services, which can show up to 150 characters on the VB 10’s petite screen.

Lenovo said that the device will be released at some point in April and work with both iOS and Android smartphones. Pricing information was not unveiled, though we’re guessing this little wearable will cost around $100.
