Telehealth startup Zipnosis secures funds from Fairview Health

Zipnosis

Telehealth startup Zipnosis has received an undisclosed investment from Fairview Health Services, one of the largest not-for-profit systems in Minnesota, to expand its SaaS diagnosis and treatment options for minor health conditions. As part of the deal, Fairview will have a member on the Zipnosis board.

Zipnosis provides healthcare providers with the ability to offer telehealth services to their patients, who can receive care for common medical conditions such as sinus infections, female bladder infections, pink eye, or cold, cough and flu through mobile phone, computer and tablet. Those using Zipnosis-powered service typically pay a flat-rate of $25-$35 by a credit card or health savings card.

On the other hand, the platform attracts new patients to health systems, boosting revenue without adding more physicians or practitioners.

Late last year, Minnesota-based Zipnosis received a $1.5 million investment from Arthur Ventures.
