SharePractice launches a web app

SharePractice is going beyond its iOS app to allow physicians to access the popular peer-based clinical decision support from the web.

Although it runs inside the browser, the application has all of the features doctors have learned to expect from the mobile application – they can use a desktop computer or iPad while seeing patients to consult SharePractice in their workflow at the point of care.

SharePractice enables verified clinicians to rate and review different treatments based on their professional experience.SharePractice enables verified clinicians to rate and review different treatments based on their professional experience. And since these verified users can also add their own treatments and protocols for review, the service is now deemed the only evidence-based, crowd-sourced repository for the integration of conventional and non-conventional treatments.

“Last year, a group of HIV specialists started sharing their integrative protocols for the treatment of HIV in SharePractice. The resulting community engagement has created what I believe to be the most comprehensive, up to the minute HIV reference on the market. There is no reason why I would not expect the same eventual outcome for every diagnosis on SharePractice,” said Dr. Mark Berenson, Medical Director for SharePractice.

SharePractice is completely free for use by licensed clinicians, residents and medical students. The company makes its money by selling anonymized sentiment analysis to treatment companies, payers, and providers which want to know how their products are used and perceived by the professionals who know them best.
