MyFitnessPal Premium brings calorie tracking to a whole new level

MyFitnessPal dashboard

MyFitnessPal is launching a premium offering for those who want additional information along with an extra push in their quest to become and stay fit.

Before we dive into details, let’s first talk about new features that were added for all users. These include verified foods and better insights with improved graphs.

The MyFitnessPal Premium subscription is available for both iOS and Android users for $9.99 per month or $49.99 per year.Back to the Premium product… It involves ad-free experience, VIP customer support and access to premium content, consisting of MyFitnessPal dietitian-approved recipes, meal plans and nutrition tips.

According to the company, MyFitnessPal Premium gives users a “smarter, deeper understanding of what they’re eating” with the customizable nutrient dashboard. With one glance at that dashboard, users will be able to see progress toward their calorie and macronutrient goals.

Another neat feature is the ability to choose from four different profiles for the home screen, including Macronutrients (displays carbs, fat, protein and calories), Heart-Healthy (fat, sodium, cholesterol and calories), Carb-Conscious (carbs, sugars, fiber and calories), and there’s also the Custom Summary that allows users to select any three nutrients.

The tracking doesn’t stop there: users get to set their macro goals by gram (not just percentage), control their exercise calories, set different calorie and macro goals for each day of the week.

The MyFitnessPal Premium subscription is available for both iOS and Android users. It costs $9.99 per month or $49.99 per year.
