Omron Healthcare is launching new Bluetooth-connected blood pressure monitor and scale to enable various telehealth and remote patient monitoring applications.

“These easy to use devices allow chronically ill patients the freedom to monitor their health in the comfort of their homes instead of traveling to a hospital, which can prove to be a challenge,” said Jim Li, Executive Director of Medical Affairs at Omron. “Omron’s new products were designed to keep patients connected with their healthcare providers.”

The blood pressure monitor (HEM-9200T) features one button operation for convenience, wide-range cuff to fit various upper arm sizes, and an irregular heartbeat detector.

As for the smart scale (HN-290T), it has a large surface, measuring capacity of 550 pounds, and the ability to automatically turn on once a user steps on it.

Both devices can be easily connected to a mobile device to transfer data, and (optionally) integrated with Qualcomm Life’s medical-grade 2net Connectivity Platform, 2net Hub and 2net Mobile.
