YogaTrail is an online platform where yoga practitioners connect with their yoga providers; the company still doesn’t have a mobile app, but it’s working on one as we speak. To that end, they have turned to Indiegogo to crowdfund the development of Android and iOS apps, and make what they say are “much-needed platform improvements.”
Perks for those supporting the campaign range from small Mala beads and custom Sure Design t-shirts to exclusive yoga teacher training courses and exotic yoga retreats around the world. If successful, the $50,000 campaign will solve a ubiquitous problem for yoga practitioners – namely, how to keep track of the classes and schedules of their preferred yoga teachers and studios. The application will bring multiple schedules into one consolidated calendar, making it easier for a yogi to plan their own yoga schedule by seeing all of their options. Instant notifications about class cancellations or schedule changes will come included, as well.
“As passionate yogis ourselves, we got tired of sifting through countless studio websites and Facebook pages to figure out when and where our next yoga class could happen,” said Alex Klein, co-founder of YogaTrail. “We wanted to create a way to simplify the yoga class planning process and give yogis a way to easily communicate with each other, their instructors, and studios. YogaTrail is the ultimate online networking service for yogis.”
Just like that’s the case with the website, the YogaTrail mobile app will be entirely free for all yogis and yoga providers. Nevertheless, YogaTrail is offering various perks for those willing to support the app development, ranging from small Mala beads and custom Sure Design t-shirts to exclusive yoga teacher training courses and exotic yoga retreats around the world.
At the moment, YogaTrail has more than 100,000 yoga providers and 15,000 yoga events in its database.
