Drugstore chain Rite Aid is bringing HealthSpot’s enclosed telemedicine stations to 25 of its pharmacies in Ohio, covering select locations in Akron/Canton, Cleveland and Dayton/Springfield. Said stations allow customers to access a variety of healthcare services including pediatric care.
A private, 40-square foot station uses HD videoconferencing to connect patients with doctors. It also houses several medical devices such as a stethoscope, an otoscope, a pulse oximeter and a magnascope. Moreover, each HealthSpot station is supported by a trained wellness attendant who can help the patient as needed from check-in to check-out.
