Fitnet released a new version of its app which, the company claims, takes a “giant steps forward” by integrating other Apple Health enabled apps’ data through its Energy Clock, a “first-of-its-kind comprehensive view of calorie burn.” Beyond the iPhone, said view is also available on the Apple Watch.
For example, Fitnet 4 will aggregate data from a client’s runs from the Nike+ Running app and sleep from a preferred sleep-tracking app. The Fitnet Energy Clock will then display a clients’ past 24 hours of caloric burn through color-coded intervals – blue is sleep, green is rest and orange is active. The app will then apply an algorithm that will display predictive calorie burn based on the previous activity.
“Daily monitoring of your sleep patterns, active time and calorie burn has been proven time and again to assist clients in reaching their fitness goals,” said Fitnet Fitness Director, Laurie Maddox. “It not only gives you a perspective on your lifestyle that you’ve never had before, but also gamifies the experience through tracking and achieving daily goals.”
Fitnet has over 250 free strength training, cardio and yoga workouts and is available for iOS and Android users. And yes, we would expect to see the Fitnet Energy Clock feature coming soon to Android Wear…
