Jawbone new collection

Jawbone has teamed-up with Amazon to enter the ever-growing Indian market. The company’s activity trackers are now up for pre-order through Amazon.in, with the Jawbone UP MOVE going for INR 4,999 ($75), the UP2 for INR 9,999 ($150), and the UP3 for INR 14,999 ($225).

The UP MOVE is the most basic of the three devices, supporting activity tracking, step counting, calories burned, food logging, etc. The UP2 builds on top of that to add smart alarm, idle alert, and automatic sleep detection, while the UP3 goes one step further to include heart rate monitor and advanced sleep tracking to the mix.

With the new update, the Jawbone UP2, UP3 and UP4 bands all got Automatic Sleep Detection and Passive Heart Rate monitoring. In the other Jawbone news, the company announced new design for the UP2, 10 new colors for UP2 and UP3, and new features for the UP2, UP3 and UP4 bands.

The UP2, which was only offered in Black Diamond and Light Grey Hex with classic flat straps, is now available in 6 new colors, 5 of which feature an all-new design with two lightweight thin straps – to make for an overall slimmer tracker. The selection of new colors for UP2 include Turquoise Circle, Oat Spectrum, Gunmetal Hex, Orchid Circle and Black Diamond with the new lightweight thin straps, along with Violet Circle with the classic flat strap.

The UP3, on the other hand, got 4 new colors — including Indigo Twist, Ruby Cross, Sand Twist and Teal Cross — in addition to the previously available colors, Black Twist and Silver Cross.

Finally, Jawbone announced firmware updates for the UP2, UP3 and UP4 bands that add Automatic Sleep Detection and Passive Heart Rate monitoring. With this new update, users no longer need to tap the band to enter and exit sleep mode. Also, with the addition of Passive Heart Rate, UP band owners get a more complete picture of their heart health.

The new firmware update for UP2, UP3 and UP4 will roll out to all users today and is available on both iOS and Android versions 4.7 or later.
