Babolat POP tennis wearable now available for $89.95

Babolat POP

After launching a connected racket, Babolat is out with another smart device for tennis. This time it comes in the form of a wristband, called Babolat POP, that will work with any equipment users may have.

Working in tandem with a companion app, the product will let players track their groundstrokes and serves, as well as overall playtime and the longest rally. From the mentioned app — available for iOS and Android — players will be able to access information on the shot types, spin, power, etc. and presumably use that information to up their game.

The app features the unique PIQ scoring system that combines your swing speed, spin and style (the “fluidity” of your stroke) into one number that can be used to track your own game or compete with friends. There’s also the Challenge feature that allows competing with friends all over the world, while the Activity tracker ranks you globally and keeps you motivated to spend time on court. Also, you can see how you stack up against Babolat-sponsored players such as Rafael Nadal or Caroline Wozniacki, here’s your chance.

Inside the box, users get the Babolat POP sensor, wristband, charger and USB cable. The package is now available for pre-sale for $89.95 exclusively at Tennis Warehouse.
