In what looks like the “end of year press release,” Validic announced new clients and integration partners, as well as enhancements to its platform. Said platform allows companies and institutions across the healthcare industry to easily connect to a number of health and fitness devices and platforms, rather than connect to each of the devices/platforms separately.
The company is not in the business that involves unveiling new customers as soon as they score their business; rather, we get to learn about some of the new companies using Validic’s platform after some time, and then we get a summed-up announcement.
Anyhow, over the last year, Validic has added a number of domestic and international clients.
Validic now has built a presence in India, Canada, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore and Chile. In the former group, we have provider of weight management solutions – Retrofit, provider of the world’s first cellular-enabled blood glucose meter – Telcare, and provider of customized patient relationship management services – Conversa Health.
As for the international clientele, the company’s new partners include SportsMed Global and Health&. Related to that, Validic now has built a presence in India, Canada, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore and Chile, significantly increasing its global reach.
Validic has also extended its network by adding 68 percent more integration partners over the last year, bringing the company’s total supported devices to over 215. Newly connected digital health technologies include:
- Activity devices and wellness applications, such as Microsoft, Sony, Epson, Suunto, Pivotal Living and InRFood.
- The remote wellness station Higi, which is available at retail and Rite Aid locations.
- Visiomed’s BeWell Connect, which provides several medical grade devices to remotely manage patient’s health and wellness.
“Healthcare is rapidly moving toward a consumer-driven, patient-centered market, where access to device-generated data is becoming increasingly vital to care coordination, population management and patient engagement. At the same time, it is increasingly difficult for industry stakeholders to connect and integrate all of the data being created from both a technical and business development standpoint,” said Ryan Beckland, CEO and Co-Founder of Validic. “As new technologies enter the market daily, Validic will continue expanding our network and updating our product offerings to meet growing demands.”
Finally, the company has enhanced its mobile technology, allowing its clients to embed the ability to capture digital health data — from Bluetooth Smart-enabled clinical devices and Apple Health — directly into their own mobile applications.
