TempTraq gets a cloud service to support remote monitoring

TempTraq Connect

It was at last year’s CES when we saw Blue Spark Technologies unveiling its smart wearable thermometer TempTraq. This year, they’re launching a companion service, TempTraq Connect, enabling parents and caregivers to remotely monitor real-time temperature data from anywhere.

In addition, the company also announced a new extended 48-hour version of the Bluetooth-enabled device so temperature can be monitored longer when needed.

Blue Spark Technologies also announced a new extended 48-hour version of TempTraq.TempTraq comes in the form of a wearable patch that alleviates many concerns of those caring for an ill or recovering loved one, including eliminating the need to continually disturb or wake them up. The device works in tandem with an iOS or Android app, which displays both real time and historical temperature data in graphical or tabular view.

Also through the app, users can keep track of when the patient eats, drinks or takes medicine. And for those caring for multiple people, it conveniently allows them to monitor multiple patches simultaneously. Plus, if they opt for the new TempTraq Connect service, they will be able to do this from a remote location.

TempTraq is currently available at temptraq.com, Amazon.com, CVS.com and Costco.com, with Target stores getting it in mid-April. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $19.99.
