Hometeam

Hometeam has raised $27.5 million in a Series B funding round in which Oak HC/FT has joined existing investors Lux Capital, IA Ventures and Recruit Strategic Partners. The company will use the proceeds to accelerate its medical and technology development, and bring its expert caregiver matching service to additional cities and states.

Hometeam aims to transform the aging experience by providing families expert caregiver matching, iPads preloaded with their own software, and a care team to promote healthy and active days.

“Hometeam is about creating beautiful days for older adults while giving family members peace of mind,” Josh Bruno, Founder and CEO of Hometeam, said in a statement. “The marriage of technology and high quality in-home care will revolutionize our industry and this new round of funding will enable us to build out our platform and offer truly unique and specialized care to older adults in other locations.”

The company is currently present in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia, with its user base increasing 20% month on month in the last year and a half.
