PulseBand A6 wearable comes with advanced heart rate monitor

PulseBand A6

A company called Vidonn Smartband has turned to Kickstarter to crowdfund what seemingly looks like “yet another” wrist-worn sleep and activity tracker with built-in heart rate monitor. And they seem to be onto something as the campaign has surpassed its stated goal of $30,000. Perhaps their secret is in the attractive price of around $50…

Anyway, the device — called PulseBand A6 — features a relatively large OLED screen that is protected from splashes and water damage. It can also deliver notifications to one’s wrist, including information on incoming calls and messages, along with social media updates.

The PulseBand A6 sports a magnetic, fast charging system that goes from empty to fully juiced-up wearable in less than an hour.Vidonn emphasizes the mentioned heart rate monitor, saying that it’s the most advanced such solution on the market that will “accurately track workout intensity, maximize training and optimize your health by providing both real-time readings and historical trend of your heart rate.”

The activity tracker syncs with the Vidonn app from where you get to access full track records, various charts, and target motivations encouraging you to compete and increase your score. The application will also alert you on idle moments to get moving when you’ve been sitting for too long.

The PulseBand A6 comes with a magnetic, fast charging system that goes from empty to fully juiced-up wearable in less than an hour. The product is available in a few color options, including Midnight Blue, Burgundy Purple and Matte Black.
