Guardian, Maxwell Health team-up to launch Guardian BenefitsCenter

Maxwell Health app

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian) is working with Maxwell Health (Maxwell) to launch Guardian BenefitsCenter, a multi-carrier platform that provides brokers and their clients with an end-to-end operating system for delivering employee health and financial security benefits.

“Working with Maxwell will enable us to deliver a comprehensive, affordable, consumer-focused solution to simplify and enhance the benefits process for employers and their employees,” Dong Ahn, Executive Vice President, Group and Worksite Markets at Guardian, said in a statement.

Guardian BenefitsCenter will streamline the administration of benefits, human resources, and payroll functions for brokers and human resource administrators of small-to-mid-size employers. The platform, which Guardian provides to its brokers, makes it easy to quote, procure, and enroll employers and employees across all types of benefits, from medical insurance to Guardian’s suite of benefits which include dental, vision, life, disability, accident, cancer, critical illness and hospital indemnity, among others.

Employees on their end get to access benefits through a mobile app that incorporates a variety of consumer lifestyle products including healthcare concierge, telemedicine services, and identity theft prevention.

Guardian BenefitsCenter will be introduced through select Guardian brokers on a limited basis starting in the second quarter of 2016 with a full launch scheduled for next year.

Earlier this year, mHealth Spot reported about Maxwell Health’s Series C funding round, which was led by GIS Strategic Ventures, the Strategic Initiatives arm of Guardian Life Insurance Company.
