Regroup Therapy gets $1.3M for its mental health solution

Regroup Therapy

Regroup Therapy has raised $1.3 million for its mental health solution. Hyde Park Angels led the round, which also saw a number of other participants, including OCA Ventures; Impact Engine; Lon Chow; Grubhub co-founder Mike Evans; Wasson Enterprise, the family investment office of Greg Wasson (former Walgreens CEO); New Stack Ventures; and Mark Agnew (president of Lou Malnati’s).

The company has developed a software that enables counseling over the internet from its network of more than 2,000 contract mental-health providers. Regroup started selling its services in 2014 to customers that include Sinai Health System, OSF Healthcare and Oak Street Health.

Mental health providers are in short supply, and it’s often difficult to deliver services to patients outside cities and towns where providers are located. But online videoconferencing and companies like Regroup Therapy hope to solve that problem.
