The so called Instagram for doctors has users in 190 countries, with three-quarters of U.S. med students using the app.
Brazil is one of the platform's top markets where the app has more than 100,000 users, making it the second-biggest market after the US.
The company plans to use the funds to launch in Brazil, and add Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese to the list of supported languages.
