MapMyRun got a big update that includes workout descriptions, improved social media sharing, and a new rating scale. The new elements include:
- Fitness Status Message – so you can add in-app descriptions and notes after the workout and then share directly to Facebook and Twitter.
- Better Facebook Sharing – highlight your workout through larger maps and more details directly on your timeline.
- Share Pre – and Post-Workouts – you can auto-post at the beginning, during or after your workout. You can also schedule auto-posts after selecting ‘Record’ for your workout. After the workout you can add a custom message and rate your fitness efforts.
- Rate My Run – runners will have the ability to rate how they feel after each workout, from “crushed my goal” to “took it easy.” And if you join the Brooks Fit Group, you can view a real-time newsfeed of other runners nationwide who are hitting the pavement, just like you.
In addition, iOS version 4.6.6 also comes with a number of bug fixes that will make sure the app is more stable than ever.
