The Dash is a smart wireless headphones product which is looking for backers at the crowdfunding website Kickstarter. Designed by Munich-based BRAGI, it promises to deliver a “beautiful marriage of design, audio, wearable tech, biometrics and telephony functionality, all in one product.”
The Dash allows users to wirelessly enjoy music whether it’s streamed from a connected smartphone or from embedded 4GB of storage. It also doubles as a Bluetooth headset with clear voice quality thanks to ear bone microphone.
The Dash is up for pre-order at Kickstarter where a single unit goes for $179.mHealth-wise, the device can track movements like pace, steps, cadence and distance, while being able to measure heart rate, oxygen saturation and energy spent. Real time acoustic feedback is also provided, again even without an attached smartphone.
As part of the deal, users also get an accompanying mobile app where all the activity and health data is gathered and presented in an easy to grasp manner. However, the Dash will also work as a standard Bluetooth headset with virtually all smartphones, not just those running iOS and Android.
In order to secure the Dash unit, users are invited to join the Kickstarter campaign where a single unit goes for $179.
These smart wireless headphones were created by Danish entrepreneur Nikolaj Hviid, former Head of Design at a global leading audio company. The international team at BRAGI holds more than 90 patents and has won more than 100 design awards.
