Cognizant and HTH team-up to launch a mobile app to help patients access care abroad

Cognizant is teaming up with healthcare delivery company HTH Worldwide to allow it to offer its patient members enhanced mobile capabilities both at home and abroad.

HTH’s patient members will be able to understand, access, and pay for the best available healthcare services in any corner of the world. The application will allow them [patient members] to use their smartphones to locate doctors, emergency services, hospitals and pharmacies, schedule appointments, and translate medication names and medical terms around the globe. In other words, travelers will allow members to manage existing and unanticipated health conditions in faraway places, where finding a doctor and explaining symptoms can be especially challenging.

In addition, the partnership includes an enterprise services component that will allow HTH Worldwide to roll out new products to meet their business and user demands all around the world with greater efficiency and agility.
