MapMyFitness' iPhone app gets support for Armour39

MapMyFitness has yet again updated its app, this time with support for Under Armour’s Armour39 performance monitor. This in turn will allow athletes and fitness enthusiasts to track heart rate, calories, real-time intensity, as well as the so called “WILLpower” which boils a workout down to a single score.

Through this integration, users can set and track WILLpower scores through the mobile coaching features, and each workout will accurately display intensity level all with heart rate data and calories burned. Audio features are there as well, and include voice feedback to “ensure you’re staying on pace to meet workout goals.”

The Armour39 integration is the first direct product partnership between Under Armour and MapMyFitness. It works pre-workout, during and after workout.

Also included in this update is the ability to set custom heart rate zones based on one’s performance and fitness level.

Under Armour announced the acquisition of MapMyFitness in November 2013.
