Adidas is working with Spotify to add the music streaming service with offline playback on its miCoach Smart Run accessory later in the year. Smart Run users will still need a valid Spotify subscription, but will ultimately get a better music experience that doesn’t require Internet connection while exercising.
The company’s wearable device runs Android, combining a smartwatch experience with a fitness accessory to enable users to track all the calories they burn throughout the day. Smart Run is connected to other devices via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, though the latter is required for syncing.
The Adidas miCoach program offers solid coaching experience, performance monitoring and more.
