Walnut Hill Medical Center

Voalte has scored another client – Dallas, Texas-based Walnut Hill Medical Center (WHMC), which is n 8-story, 100-bed, full-service hospital. Under the deal, the hospital will get Voalte smartphones as part of the project to “reimagine patient care.”

Walnut Hill Medical Center got Voalte smartphones to increase nurse response time and improve patient care by relying on modern technologies. The physician-managed and -governed facility was built with a vision to create a patient-centric community of healthcare providers. WHMC opened its doors in April 2014 with 75 Voalte smartphones, giving caregivers inside the hospital the ability to communicate via voice calls, receive alarms and alerts, and send and receive secure text messages.

The Voalte solution is part of the facility’s larger “iHospital Initiative” that aims to increase nurse response time and improve patient care by relying on modern technologies. As part of that plan, the hospital plans to connect Voalte smartphones with its patient interactivity portal and EMR system to enable caregivers to respond more quickly to patient needs.
