LifeKeeper is a novel personal mobile system designed to monitor and help improve user’s health, with special focus on heart attack and stroke. The setup consists of the LifeKeeper Device, similar in appearance to a strip heart rate monitor; and the LifeKeeper mobile app.
You’ll get recommendations focused on four key goals: accelerate the consumption of fat reserves, strengthen your heart, improve the functioning of blood vessels and increase HDL cholesterol, which provides cardiovascular protection.Real-time alerts and suggestions related to one’s well-being, coupled with exclusive analytical methods for detecting current and future risks (based on the negative or unexpected evolution of the monitored indicators) make this system unique. This Smart Training function wants to “optimize your physical activity” while “taking into account your characteristics and personal goals.” You’ll get recommendations focused on four key goals: accelerate the consumption of fat reserves, strengthen your heart, improve the functioning of blood vessels and increase HDL cholesterol, which provides cardiovascular protection.
The fun doesn’t stop with the exercise; even when you’re recovering, the LifeKeeper Monitoring System will detect and warn of any potential risks of stable angina, atrial fibrillation or stroke.
When a new activity is started, the LifeKeeper app will instruct the LifeKeeper device to start the biosignal capture process for that specific activity, and then analyze the data in real time. It will do so by taking into account user’s personal and historical data related to similar events and circumstances, and when appropriate, instruct the LifeKeeper device to adapt the biosignal capture to the analysis requirements. Also when needed, the application will ask for additional information. At the end of your activity, the system stores the analytical variables, which are compiled and finally presented in an easy to understand format.
LifeKeeper is currently raising funds at Indiegogo, with the goal to reach $60,000. It lacks more than 96% of the goal and with 7 days to go, chances are it won’t get the money it needs. Nonetheless, those who want to bid can go for the $179 package that has a retail value of $299. Delivery date is set for December 2014.
