TableAir smart table for sitting and standing gathering pre-orders at Kickstarter

TableAir smart table

We know that sitting throughout the day isn’t healthy, hence we see an array of tables for standing popping up all around the web. Stir Kinetic Desk is probably the fanciest (and most expensive) product that makes sure you stand from time to time. It not only comes with a touchscreen controlled motor for adjusting the height of the table, but can even integrate with Fitbit so that you can get credit for standing.

A similar product called TableAir is looking to raise £30,000 (about $51,207) at Kickstarter, and just like Kinetic – it’s not a cheap device. Quite the contrary, the pre-order price is set at £1,500, which translates into whopping $2,560. You can also reserve your unit for £500 and pay the rest when TableAir launches publicly.

Special construction lets TableAir lift up to 100kg thanks to its a unique electric motor that makes the process not only smooth, but also very silent. What makes this table unique is that it facilitates subconscious transitions between sitting and standing postures. It’s also “sophisticated in design” and can be controlled with a smartphone, with the accompanying app enabling users to take lower or higher positions according to selected time settings. Said application will also allow you to check your progress and select your favorite LED ambient color. Initially, it will be an iPhone exclusive, with Android app coming soon after TableAir launches.

Special construction lets TableAir lift up to 100kg thanks to its a unique electric motor that makes the process not only smooth, but also very silent. In comparison, most competitor tables offer loud and slow motion.

The TableAir measures 150 x 40 x 75 cm (59 x 11.6 x 29.5 inches), and supports heights from 40 cm (15.7 inches) to 120 cm (47.2 inches). It packs 2 AC power ports, 2 USB mobile charging ports (5V – 2A each), LED lighting and smart control button.
